XpiRX Expiring Opioids
In developing our proprietary solutions, we ceased to fixate on “what is”and instead began to imagine “what if…?”
The Problem
Opioids have a half-life of about 70 years. This unnecessarily long half-life means a huge supply of viable pills are readily available and continue to fill the medicine cabinets and flood the street.
What If…?
What if opioids expired after their prescribed use period? What if, after that period of time, they would have no physical effect?
Our Solution
XpiRX was designed to create opioids whose potency expires after the period of recommended use.
Core Benefits
-
Reduces supply of opioids on the street
XpirRX opioids have reduced or no euphoric effect after recommended period and thus are not abusable.
-
Protects against fatal overdose.
Once expired, no one could intentionally or unintentionally overdose.
-
Provides effective pain management.
During the Rx-use period, XpiRx opioids still have the same efficacy for pain management as the original opioid component.
